Dear Main Street Family,

Hope you are having a great week!  It is that time of the year again.  It is time to change our clocks forward one hour as we return to Daylight Savings Time.  At 2 a.m. Sunday, time will jump to 3 a.m. Most clocks we own, such as our smartphones are automated and require no effort to change. Other clocks around our houses or in our cars (e.g., your microwave or bedside clock) will need to be changed manually. To make it easier, it is suggested we adjust our clocks ahead one hour Saturday night before going to sleep. Besides resetting clocks, fire departments recommend we use the time change as a reminder to make sure our smoke detectors are working, replacing batteries where needed.  That is some good advice.

Sometimes we hear this time change called “Spring Forward.”  As I thought about that phrase, I am reminded that is what we need in our life at times.  Sometimes we need to “spring forward” afresh and anew in our walk with the Lord.  I know it is difficult to adjust to this time change because you are setting your clock ahead one hour Saturday night, but how about “springing forward” to join us for Bible study and worship Sunday.  I will continue my message series on LIFE UNDER PRESSURE.  Who doesn’t feel under pressure today?  I will focus this week on how to deal with the NORMAL PRESSURES OF LIFE that come in the way of CIRCUMSTANCES, CHALLENGES, and RESPONSIBILITIES.  Hope to see you here!
